Event raises four heaping truck-loads of food and cash donations for Toberman Center, Animals Rule and Help the Homeless Help Themselves
MAY 14TH, 2009 — In keeping with the real estate franchise’s core values, RED (Renew, Energize and Donate) Day was born. Red Day is a new Keller Williams Realty service day, dedicated to improving our own backyards. All Keller Williams Realty associates and members of the communities in the US and Canada donated their time on May 14, 2009 to renewing and energizing aspects of their local areas. "Giving Where We Live!"
TheKeller Williams Realty LA Harbor/Palos Verdes offices hosted a food drive, which raised four heaping truck-loads of food and cash donations for Toberman Center, Animals Rule and Help the Homeless Help Themselves.
"At Keller Williams, we believe in supporting the community where we live and work. It’s our way of saying thanks to our friends, neighbors, clients and customers,” says Grace Parris, Team Leader/CEO (KW LA Harbor). "It was inspiring to see our community jump in and make this a success. Many needy people and animals will be cared for with the generous outpouring of food and cash donations we've received! Words can not describe the love & gratitude this project has spread."
“Toberman is deeply appreciative of the efforts of Keller Williams Realty. They have once again provided Toberman with the resources to distribute approximately 200 bags of groceries a week to low-income families throughout the Harbor area. Thank you, Keller Williams and members of the community for your generosity. You are a blessing!” -Gloria Lockhart, Toberman Center.
“We can't thank you enough for choosing Animals Rule Rescue to benefit from all your hard work and dedication. Red Day was a huge success and our rescue animals and some homeless animals will truly benefit from these donations.”
-Shannon, Animals Rules
